Sponsor a Family

The purpose of the Family Sponsorship program is to provide for the basic necessities of extremely destitute families that live in exile in the Tibetan Refugee Camp in Mainpat, India. Usually, these families are unable to provide for themselves due to illness, old age or mental disabilities. Lama Tulku Tsori Rinpoche, in his great compassion and kindess, does his very best to support these families. Please take a moment to look at the video and meet those families.

FAMILY SPONSORSHIP

The sponsorship costs 85 cents a day. There are approximately 200 families living in the Tibetan Refugee Camp, and 45 that need help to support themselves.

Over the past couple of years, the average 'extra' amount that the families have needed, has been $40 per month which is $480 per family per year. This is $1.30 per day per family.

The sponsorship program has made a big difference for these families. They have been able to buy the needed medicine, food and warm clothing.

For each family sponsored, we will do our best to provide some form of communication, but it may be difficult, as many families live in very remote areas. Lama Tulku Karma will continue to send updates and photographs as possible.

Assisting the Tibetan people in exile is a very important gesture for a culture that is trying to survive through peace, compassion and kindness.
